HOW CAN YOU HELP?
We've come a long way in the last year of planning, but there is still a lot of work to be done. Unlike publicly funded museums, we are not eligible for most grants or public tax dollars. This means that we stand or fall based solely on the quality of our exhibits, outreach, displays and programs. All of this costs money. Lots of it. As a new start-up entity our building needs renovations, exhibits need to be built, staff must be hired, trained and managed and we need to raise capital to do all of that. If you are interested in joining our team, we are currently looking for creative financial assistance in several different ways...
NUMBER ONE: BECOME AN “EXHIBIT SPONSOR”
If you are looking to help the cause in return for quality promotion of your name, company or brand, this might be your best option. By sponsoring one of our permanent or temporary exhibits you are helping to provide a unique educational opportunity for visitors while also helping to market your company’s products or services. With this option you would provide the funds for an exhibit or part of an exhibit and then get various perks based on the amount of money given. These might include adding a logo and/or name plaque to the exhibit (seen by tens of thousands each year, a lifetime membership to the museum and all of its events, a museum quality cast dinosaur skull for your own home, gift shop discounts and/or a VIP dinosaur dig for you and your family! With our “ADOPT A DINOSAUR” program you can pick and choose which exhibit you want to advertise on.
NUMBER TWO: BECOME AN “EVENT SPONSOR”
Our new facility will have nearly seven acres of land to host a variety of special events, fairs, festivals and kids programs. You can help us to market these activities by becoming an event sponsor. We are currently planning several special events for our inaugural year, including a Summer “Dino Days” Event, a “Raptor Rodeo”, our “Rockin Rock and Fossil Show”, our “Haunted Museum Nights” or our “Parade of Lights Fossil Festival”. We might try and host local farmers markets or other community events as well. Sponsors interested in supporting an event will get their name and company logo on any event advertising including, flyers, web pages, newspaper ads, radio and TV spots as well as VIP access to the collections and other museum perks. Sponsors can donate funds, materials, supplies or other goods and services to help promote or operate the event.
NUMBER THREE: BECOME A ”Silent Partner ”
If you are looking for long term dividends with some risk, then please consider becoming a Class B (non-voting) shareholder in the company. Our detailed business plan, balance sheet and four year projections are available to qualified, fully vetted parties. Should our project do well, you might be reaping the rewards in 3-4 years with dividends and perks. If you have ever wanted to be a part-owner of a dinosaur museum this is a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor.
NUMBER FOUR: BECOME AN ”ADVOCATE ”
If you would like to help, but can’t afford the time and money for big sponsorships, you can still help our project by spreading the word about our efforts. Starting a new attraction takes time and word of mouth is vital to any start up. If you can, please share on social media, tell your friends, write reviews, fix links, and general get the word out.
NUMBER FIVE: JOIN THE HCPS!
If you would prefer to donate to our good friends at the 501C-3 non-profit, Hell Creek Paleontological Society, your money will go towards helping educational outreach programs, research, specimen acquisition/donation or scholarships for research scientists, teachers or young students interested in becoming paleontologists. Donations in this fashion would be tax deductible. Please visit their website at: https://www.thehellcreekpaleosociety.org/
NUMBER SIX: JOIN “THE TEAM”
We’re looking for a few brave souls to join our team here at the DHCM. We will be interviewing for carpenters and artists (1-2), part-time and full-time field and laboratory paleo-technicians(2-3) for the 2025 Spring and Summer Season soon. By February we will be looking to hire a gift shop manager, front desk personnel (2-3) and support staff. If interested, please send a resume and cover letter to stein151@comcast.net.
Most importantly, we still need to fill our final advisory board member seat. Advisory board members are vested ($50K), heavily involved individuals who want to play an active role in the decision making of the museum. Any candidates should bring some special skills to the table and will be thoroughly vetted before being added to the group. If you have ever wanted to be a co-owner of a museum, here is your chance.
