LOCATION

The DHCM is located in the beautiful Northern Black Hills of South Dakota, approximately two miles north east of the town of Belle Fourche, SD. We are 16 miles north of Interstate 90, one hour east of Devils Tower, 1.5 hours northwest of Mount Rushmore and 3o minutes north of Deadwood. We are located in one of the most prolific fossil hunting regions in North America as well as less than three miles from Rocky Point State Recreation Area and the Belle Fourche Resevoir (great fishing, hiking and camping). Come spend all day on an authentic dinosaur fossil hunting adventure (by reservation only) with PaleoAdventures (our parent company www.paleoadventures.com ), check out the exhibits and special events in the museum for an hour or two. Join a half day lab program. Or just come and browse our gift shop with its wide array of incredible fossil treasures and unique made-in-South Dakota gifts.
